School Counselor - Samm, Patrice

I am an accomplished educator and mental health professional with more than 20 years of experience serving students and families across Los Angeles, Houston, Georgia, and internationally in the United Arab Emirates. She is passionate about creating supportive learning environments and lives by her motto: “We educators can change this world one child at a time.”
I began my academic journey at Clark Atlanta University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications. Driven by a calling to serve students’ social, emotional, and academic needs, I pursued my master’s degree in Educational Counseling at National University in California. I later advanced my leadership expertise by completing my Specialist in Educational Leadership at the University of West Georgia.
Throughout my career, I have held diverse roles that reflect my dedication to student well-being and success. I have served as a Prevention and Intervention Specialist, a Mental Health Specialist, an MTSS Coordinator, and a 504 Coordinator.
My work bridges both domestic and international contexts, providing me with a unique perspective on the needs of students from varied cultural and educational backgrounds. With a commitment to advocacy, equity, and whole-child support, I continue to empower students, educators, and communities through my leadership and counseling expertise.
